Andreia, mother of two girls, is also the mother of Sebodoria Ancestral. The history of our brand cannot be separated from the history of its creator, because it is in this personal journey that the meaning that guides our brand is found.

For many years, Andreia avoided conventional cosmetics. Even organic, vegan, or so-called "clean" options caused her adverse reactions, mainly on her face. This sensitivity led her to distance herself from cosmetics aimed at adults, dedicating herself solely to preparing plant-based cosmetics for herself and her daughters since 2020.

At one point in her life, she adopted a strictly vegetarian diet, motivated by respect for animals. However, over time, this choice resulted in significant nutritional deficiencies and the onset of an autoimmune disease. The return to a diet that included animal products was therefore a decision made for health reasons and coincided with an important change: the move from Ericeira to the Azores, a territory where animal welfare and regenerative agriculture are part of the local identity.

It was during this period that, through international contacts, she learned about the use of tallow in cosmetics. This ingredient is widely valued in other countries for its benefits for various skin types, including sensitive skin and skin with eczema, acne, or psoriasis. When she produced tallow at home for the first time, she felt an immediate transformation: her skin, marked by difficult years, regained softness, comfort, and true nourishment. From that moment on, she integrated tallow into her daily skincare routine and maintained this practice at home for several years, until she decided, in October 2024, to create Sebodoria Ancestrar to share these balms with others.

This discovery led her to rediscover ancient knowledge: the use of tallow as an essential ingredient in skincare. In the past, tallow was considered highly nutritious and used both in cooking and skincare, integrating the principle known as "nose to tail," which advocates that no part of the animal should be wasted. For Andréia, reviving this practice means honoring animals and giving back the value of the food they provide.

Sebodoria is inspired precisely by this vision: respect for nature, complete appreciation of the animal, conscious simplicity, and the recovery of ancestral knowledge.
