Grass-fed Tallow & Mallow Soap

Packaging

Description

This soap combines Azorean grass-fed beef tallow with macerated mallow (Malva sylvestris), a plant traditionally recognised for its high content of mucilages, flavonoids, and phenolic compounds.

Clinical studies have shown that topical preparations containing mallow significantly improve key symptoms of skin eczema, including erythema, oedema, dryness, and pruritus, when compared with placebo, without relevant adverse effects (Barikbin et al., 2010).

Scientific literature further confirms the strong soothing and emollient action of mallow, attributed to the formation of a protective, hydrating film that calms irritated skin and helps reduce inflammation (Mousavi et al., 2021). Its wound-healing activity has also been observed in animal models, where it accelerated wound contraction and supported tissue regeneration (Mousavi et al., 2021).

The soap is wrapped in a reusable beeswax cloth 🐝. Colour may vary between batches due to the artisanal nature of production. An alternative packaging option in unbleached beige parchment paper is also available.
