Grass-fed Tallow & Jasmine and Myrrh Facial Balm
Description
This artisanal face balm combines Azorean grass-fed tallow with macerated jasmine flowers, myrrh resin, organic jojoba oil, and Azorean beeswax, resulting in a balanced, regenerating, and soothing formulation.
Although formulated for facial care, it may also be applied to the body, particularly on areas that benefit from skin regeneration, comfort, and protection.
Tallow presents a lipid structure that is naturally biocompatible with human skin, contributing to the reinforcement of the skin barrier and the maintenance of physiological hydration, even in sensitive or compromised skin (Russell et al., 2024; Kowalska et al., 2017).
Just a little goes a long way: a small amount is enough to do its job, allowing the product to last a long time. Shelf life is 6 months after opening.
Myrrh is widely recognised for its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and wound-healing properties, acting through the modulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines and the protection of the skin’s extracellular matrix. Topical application has been associated with support for skin regeneration, protection against environmental aggressors, and preservation of collagen integrity and natural skin hydration (Haffor, 2010; Jahandideh et al., 2016; Jung et al., 2022).
Jasmine contributes to skin revitalisation by promoting radiance, hydration, and cutaneous comfort. Scientific studies also indicate calming and anti-irritant properties, making it particularly suitable for sensitive, dull, or stress-prone skin (Jeudy et al., 2021; Rasheed et al., 2020; Fabi et al., 2024).
Organic jojoba oil was specifically selected for this formulation due to its structural similarity to human sebum. It is considered non-comedogenic and low in occlusivity, allowing the skin to remain balanced and hydrated without pore obstruction, making this balm suitable for daily facial use. Beeswax completes the formulation by forming a natural protective barrier that helps seal in moisture and protect the skin from external aggressors.
Ingredients: Tallow (Grass-fed Azorean Beef Tallow), Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine), Commiphora Myrrha Resin (Myrrh), Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil (Organic Jojoba Oil), Cera Alba (Beeswax).
Directions for Use: Apply a small amount to slightly damp skin and gently massage until absorbed. The balm forms a protective layer that helps seal in natural moisture. Suitable for daily use on the face and, if desired, on the body. Store in a cool, dry place.
Precautions:
For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Note:
As this is an artisanal product, natural variations between batches may occur.
