Description

This artisanal lip balm combines Azorean grass-fed tallow with macerated chamomile flowers and Azorean beeswax. Tallow presents a lipid structure highly biocompatible with the skin, helping to reinforce the cutaneous barrier and maintain the lips’ natural hydration (Russell et al., 2024; Kowalska et al., 2017).

Just a little goes a long way: a small amount is enough to do its job, allowing the product to last a long time. Shelf life is 6 months after opening.

Chamomile is widely recognised for its soothing, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties, attributed to compounds such as α-bisabolol and chamazulene (Akram et al., 2024). Clinical studies indicate that chamomile extracts may reduce redness, itching, and irritation, offering benefits comparable to mild hydrocortisone creams (Aertgeerts et al., 1985; Zari & Zari, 2015).

Beeswax forms a natural protective barrier that reduces transepidermal water loss and helps maintain lip softness. Scientific literature further describes emollient, regenerative, and antiseptic properties, particularly beneficial for the delicate skin of the lips (Kurek-Górecka et al., 2020; Nong et al., 2023).

Ingredients: Tallow (Grass-fed Azorean Beef Tallow), Matricaria recutita (Chamomile), Cera Alba (Azorean Beeswax).

Directions for Use: Apply a small amount to the lips whenever necessary. Forms a protective layer that helps retain natural moisture. Store in a cool, dry place.

Precautions: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Note: As this is an artisanal product, natural variations between batches may occur.
