Description

This artisanal body balm has been specially formulated for the daily care of the delicate skin of babies and children, while being equally suitable for the whole family. It combines Azorean grass-fed tallow, macerated lavender, extra virgin olive oil, and Azorean beeswax, resulting in a simple, nourishing formulation that is well tolerated by immature and sensitive skin. Although formulated for body use, this balm may also be applied to the face, provided that facial skin tolerates olive oil well.<

Just a little goes a long way: a small amount is enough to do its job, allowing the product to last a long time. Shelf life is 6 months after opening.

Tallow presents a lipid structure naturally biocompatible with human skin, making it particularly suitable for supporting the skin barrier function in babies and young children. It helps reduce transepidermal water loss and prevent skin dryness, without interfering with the skin’s natural physiological mechanisms (Russell et al., 2024; Kowalska et al., 2017).

Lavender is described in scientific literature for its soothing, anti-inflammatory, and mild antimicrobial properties. In low-concentration topical formulations, it has been used in dermatological care for sensitive skin, including products intended for babies, contributing to skin comfort, integrity, and support of natural regenerative processes (Batiha et al., 2023; Almira et al., 2022).

Extra virgin olive oil acts as a nourishing and emollient agent, rich in fatty acids and antioxidant compounds, helping to soften the skin and reinforce its elasticity. Azorean beeswax complements the formulation by forming a natural protective barrier that seals moisture into the skin, particularly beneficial in areas prone to friction, dryness, or irritation.

Ingredients: Tallow (Grass-fed Azorean Beef Tallow), Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender), Olea europaea Fruit Oil (Extra Virgin Olive Oil), Cera Alba (Azorean Beeswax).

Directions for Use: Apply a small amount to slightly damp skin and massage gently. The balm forms a protective layer that helps seal in the moisture the skin needs. Suitable for daily body use. Store in a cool, dry place.

Precautions: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. A patch test on a small area of skin is recommended.

Note: As this is an artisanal product, natural variations between batches may occur.
